Jane Buckingham


Jane Buckingham is president of the country's leading research and trend forecasting company, The Intelligence Group, a division of Creative Artists Agency (CAA), the world's leading talent and literary agency.


Buckingham has been studying and interpreting America's youth for more than a decade, founding Youth Intelligence, now The Intelligence Group, in 1996. Building upon quantitative and qualitative analysis, the company provides consulting, trend forecasting and market research to help companies determine today's concerns and tomorrow's trends. The Intelligence Group publishes the leading trend forecasting product, The Cassandra Report®. They also issue trendcentral®, a daily e-mail covering fashion, beauty, lifestyle, technology, and entertainment.


At 17, Buckingham wrote Teens Speak Out, a revolutionary book about teens her age. In 2004 she wrote the bestselling book, The Modern Girl's Guide to Life, and is currently hosting the Style Network series of the same name. She recently published the follow-up, The Modern Girl's Guide to Motherhood (Regan Books, 2006).
